WE SAY GOODBYE, FOR NOW 🕊️

The night before she passed, the words flooded my mind of what I would say to all of you afterwords. The following day, the words were completely gone. Still, I am uncertain how to share this news with those who have not yet heard. Jerri Woodard, 32-year Chadron resident, our wonderful mother, healer, and friend is gone. She touched the lives of thousands. She helped heal all kinds of hurts. She left behind a nurturing legacy with her family and served endlessly through her work and her church. She loved people. Loved to help. Loved to make others smile. Even when the clouds rolled in over her own life, it did not get her down for long. She spoke with great hope of the day when Jesus would "wipe away every tear from our eyes" and that "there will be no more sickness or sorrow or death".
While we said goodbye to her earthside on Aug 21, 2025, we are looking intently to a future with her in heaven with others we have previously said goodbye to. We know that SO MANY of you loved her and also feel this loss deeply too. We would be greatly honored to have you join us to celebrate her beautiful life! |

Gifts in Remembrance of...
In lieu of offering flowers for memorial, Jerri would have wanted to have your gifts forwarded to help others in need. The following are a list of some of her favorite organizations if you would like to do something kind for others on her behalf:

This humanitarian organization reaches out around the world to aid: survivors of natural disasters, children needing quality education in areas where the opportunity is difficult to attain, single mothers and their children in impoverished areas, and so much more! Your dollars can go a very long way with a donation to this group!
Maranatha Volunteers International
This humanitarian organization is known most of all for building schools and churches utilizing volunteers. It is a cost effective strategy for providing support where it is most needed. Consider donating for causes here such as Water Wells, Schools, or the Ultimate Workout (teen mission projects).

EVERY MOUNTAIN HAS MEANING
Sometimes in life we come to very hard decisions; not every path we face is promised to be easy. "In our darkest moments, we must focus to see the light." For those who haven't heard, the past eight months have been fraught with especially difficult health challenges that we as a family never EVER thought we'd have to face, especially having been long time wellness advocates and educators. Life doesn't always play fair though, and many ailments one may encounter as they get older are fierce and non-discriminatory. In spite of the battle, remember that every "mountain” you face has meaning, and it's in digging for the priceless treasures buried deep in every struggle that one will find life's richest and most amazing eternal blessings. 🕊️
After 32 years of service through The Great Escape in Chadron, I am exploring a new chapter in my own life, and by default "The Great Escape" is officially having to close it's doors. I have loved every moment of working with every one of you. Thank you for trusting me with your own pain and health challenges. God smiled on me when He brought me here to provide to this region, and there is nothing that has made me happier than providing our Midwest-Nebraska communities with the beautiful God-given gift of nurturing, therapeutic touch. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you in a professional sense, and for those who have been with us the longest, for your friendship! You are priceless!! 💖
What does this mean for you?
Well, Heather is hopeful to maintain a space to provide wellness services in the area, but is in an unexpected battle with insurance for coverage to work out of our old building, and it's not looking like a promising prospect at the moment -- home based businesses are under siege apparently, and this just came to our attention with less than one week's notice. She will be keeping the public informed of her progress in reopening under her own business name (likely in a different location) she just isn't 100% sure where that will be at the moment. Continue to follow us here and on our business Facebook page for updates. You may also contact her at 308-207-0705 (she has a lot on her plate right now, so it may be a bit before she can reply). She is not scheduling appointments at this time, but she is maintaining regular appointments for existing customers as they would normally fall in June (after the 5th), and she will touch base with you as soon as she can with further details of her progress with insurance and location.
