We know that when our body is aching and we're tired of feeling blue, massage always sounds like it just might be the best cure. Yet, the opposite is typically true. Active illness is often fully contraindicated. Receiving massage while ill can make an illness worse while also passing risk of infection to others. Many therapists have illness policies and ask that clients please call as soon as possible to reschedule if there are any symptoms present of cold, flu, shingles or other communicable illness. It is generally advised that clients wait until 72 hours after symptoms have fully subsided to receive their next massage. We have many natural immune boosting secrets we'd happily share, just give us a call at 308.432.4558. We hope you feel better soon!
