It's true folks, referring to your therapist like this is like using a four letter word (although we understand most people use these terms unwittingly). We like to take this moment to remind, please respectfully decline from using the term masseuse (or masseur), and certainly from calling or establishment a massage "parlor" a these words strike up negative connotations that professional massage therapists want nothing to do with. We are properly referred to as massage therapist, massage practitioner, and our place of business as a massage clinic, center, or massage therapy place, respectfully. When clients use these preferred terms (and educate others to do the same) it's helps ensure that our professional reputation (and safety) is maintained!
